0x80072F8F Error in Windows Activation.
Method 1: Verify
the settings for your time and date.
Initially,
confirm that:
1. You have
correctly configured the Date, Time, and Year in BIOS.
2. You have
correctly specified the date, time, and time zone in Windows. If not, do so
before restarting your computer. Try activating your Windows copy once more
after restarting. Restart your computer, change the date or year back (to an
earlier time), and then attempt activating Windows again if the 0x80072F8F
activation issue still occurs.
Method2: Change
the MediaBootInstall registry key from 1 to 0.
1. Press Windows
image + R keys to launch the run command box.
2. To launch
Registry Editor, type regedit and hit OK.
3. Locate the
key that reads:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Setup/OOBE
4. Double-click
the MediaBootInstall REG DWORD value in the right pane and change the value
data from 1 to 0.
5. After
selecting OK, quit Registry Editor.
6. Go to: to
launch an administrative command prompt.
Start > All
Programs > Accessories is option one.
b. At the
Command Prompt, select Run As Administrator from the context menu.
7. In command
prompt window type: slmgr /rearm & press Enter.
8. Restart your
system after clicking OK on the Command complete successfully notice. (If prompted, type your product key to activate Windows.)
9. Activate
Windows after the restart.
